Parasites, including heartworms, gastrointestinal worms, fleas and ticks, are

detrimental to your dog’s & cat’s health.  Some of the diseases

associated with parasites can be contagious to humans.

Most puppies and kittens are born with worms and all horses, dogs and cats

remain susceptible to worms throughout their life.  If allowed to develop,

worms can cause diarrhea, stunt growth, sap energy and, in the case of

heartworms, can even be fatal.  It is in the best interest of your animals to

keep them on an appropriate deworming product and have your veterinarian

test for worms as recommended.

Fleas and ticks are a never ending issue for dog and cat owners.  These tiny animals cause many problems in our pets including flea anemia, dermatitis, Lyme disease and tapeworm infestation.  Keeping your pet flea and tick free is paramount to their health and the hygiene of your home.  Make sure you follow your veterinarian’s directions on the application of flea and tick products as many can cause severe and sometimes fatal side effects if improperly administered.
